DeepMatter Group PLC’s (LON:DMTR) shares surged after the big data specialist welcomed three leading sector figures as industry advisors on its commercial roll-out of DigitalGlassware.

Dr Richard Bourne, a leading academic in Process Chemistry; Dr John Harris, a pharmaceutical industry consultant with a wealth of research chemistry knowledge and expertise and Dr David Parry, an experienced synthetic chemist, have all agreed to contribute to the development of the DigitalGlassware platform, which allows chemistry experiments to be accurately and systematically recorded, coded and entered into a shared data cloud.

The advisors bring in-depth knowledge in research & medicinal chemistry, process chemistry and industrially focused closed-loop robotics and automation, DeepMatter said.

1.45pm: Calypso time for Touchstone

Shares in Touchstone Exploration Inc (LON:TXP, TSE:TXP) shot up 44% to 19.75p in London after it announced a significant crude oil discovery in Trinidad.

The Cascadura-1ST1 well on the Ortoire exploration block encountered what is described as significant prospective oil pay, totalling 1,037 feet gross.

Highlight results included 80 feet of net oil pay in the regional Lower Cruse sands; a further 180 feet net in the Upper Herrera; 600 feet net in the Middle Herrera and 177 feet net in the Lower Herrera.

12.30pm: Yü Group soars as it arranges new hedging facility

Yü Group PLC (LON:YU.), the supplier of utilities to the UK corporate sector, shot up 39% to 112.5p on a new structured trading agreement.

The hedging facility is with SmartestEnergy and will currently provide a variable credit facility up to £13mln, leading to a corresponding benefit to the group’s cash position.

The facility is structured so that the credit line grows in line with the business as it scales. This has a material benefit in reducing the working capital requirement of the group, Yü said.

11.30am: Sunrise Resources leases water rights for its CS Pozzolan-Perlite project

Sunrise Resources PLC (LON:SRES) climbed 13% to 0.13p after it tied-up water rights for its CS Pozzolan-Perlite Project in Nevada.

The company leased the water rights from General Moly subsidiary Liberty Moly for at least five years.

The leased water rights are currently attached to the Liberty molybdenum mine, no longer producing, some 18 miles west of, and in the same water basin as, Sunrise’s project.

10.30am: Be Heard slides after “guardedly positive” outlook statement

A downbeat outlook statement in its trading update sent shares in Be Heard Group PLC (LON:BHRD) shares 5.3% lower to 0.45p.

The full year (2019) outlook for the group remains unchanged, with reported underlying earnings (EBITDA) expected to be in line with market expectations, the digital marketing services group assured shareholders.

However, David Morrison, the agency’s non-executive chairman, cautioned that the group’s financial constraints meant that Be Heard would have to be “more innovative, more responsive and more agile” than its competitors in responding to changing client needs.

9.30am: CyanConnode and K3 engineer bright end to dismal year

CyanConnode Holdings PLC (LON:CYAN) shares surged 15% to 2.15p early doors as the smart meter technology company announced a potential contract win.

The company has received a letter of intent (LOI) from its partner Genus Power Infrastructures for a substantial order from a new end customer.

The LOI relates to a 142,000 unit smart metering deployment for one of the largest government-owned utilities in South India. The detailed contractual terms and scope of work for the order are being agreed.

It’s been a tough year for K3C Capital Group PLC (LON:K3C), with the shares tanking after a profit warning in April, but the firm, which specialises in the sale of companies, is ending 2019 on an upswing.

The company said it has achieved a ‘double-digit’ percentage increase in revenue and an increase in underlying earnings (EBITDA) in the six months to the end of November compared to the same period of last year.

During the six months, the group saw a record number of completed transactions (up 30% from the comparative period last financial year) with the growth primarily driven from its volume brands, Knightsbridge and KBS Corporate.
